Inmate Visitation

Setup visitation by calling 951-696-3470 between the hours of 9am and 5pm to schedule inmate visitation. Please read about visitation guidelines before coming down.

Deposit Money

You can deposit money to an inmate for use while in custody. They may buy hygiene and extra food items from commissary that they will receive twice weekly.

Shannon Flakes is currently a correctional captain at the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center. With over 25 years in experience working in corrections. This facility is lucky to have such capable individuals like this serving our community.

Shannon Flakes Correctional Captain

Shannon has held various roles within the Riverside Sheriff’s Department, such as floor operations, facility administrator, transportation operations, inmate programs, acting commander, and Corrections Division Training Coordinator.
